Sudafed Plus is a nasal spray is used to clear a blocked nose and
sinuses in adults and children aged over 12 years, helping to relieve
congestion caused by sinusitis, colds and allergies such as hay fever.
The active ingredients in Sudafed Plus contain xylometazoline
hydrochloride, which is a topical decongestant that relieves nasal and sinus
congestion, and dexpanthenol which is a derivative of the vitamin pantothenic
acid, which promotes healing and protects the mucous membrane (lining) of the
nose.
Directions
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the patient
information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Adults and
children over 12 years should administer one spray into each nostril up to 3
times a day as necessary. Do not exceed more than 3 doses in 24 hours.
To use this nasal spray, remove the protective cap from the
sprayer and press the spray head 5 times, away from the face, until a fine
spray appears. Insert the sprayer tip into one nostril in an upright position
and gently inhale through the nose while spraying.
Side-effects
Like all medicines, Sudafed Plus Nasal Spray can cause side
effects, but these won’t affect everyone. Side effects include:

Hypersensitivity reactions including swelling of the skin and
mucous membranes, skin rash, itching

Nose bleed
·
Palpitation
·
High blood pressure
